Ways to Volunteer

Inspired by what surrounds us ? Whether you’re at school, a student, looking for work, employed or retired, there are many ways that you can volunteer at My Ugandan Child! Whatever your skills, experience and interest you can get involved.
Join My Ugandan Child , make new friends, share and develop your skills, boost your CV, and you will help us to raise awareness so that we can raise more and reach out to even more children.

Reception and Admin

We have a small but hardworking team here at My Ugandan Child and could do with some help around the office. Tasks include answering the phone, helping with filing, updating records and data entry.

Collection Can Helper

Our collection cans not only raise vital funds but play a valuable role in raising awareness. We need reliable, trustworthy helpers to pick up our local collection cans when they are ready for collection and replace them with a new can when needed.
Student Volunteer Fundraiser A support role to the student fundraising team. Assisting with donor care for student fundraisers, following up on interest forms for challenges and helping arrange meeting with new universities, institutions and other people to grow My Ugandan Child’s fundraising.

Volunteer Speakers

We have a 30 minute presentation suitable for large groups or assemblies. We will provide you with a background to My Ugandan Child and the resources you might need to be a My Ugandan Child speaker and help us to raise awareness of our work and share our story with others.

Volunteer Coordinator

Working with the Events and Volunteer Manager, you will help contact those both interested in and currently volunteering with My Ugandan Child. This role is ideal for an experienced administrator, office manager or retired teacher; someone who is willing to give their time, help encourage and inspire others and feel a part of My Ugandan Child. five days per week is required, for a minimum of 6 months.

Healthy Volunteer

Work with My Ugandan Child to help the Child  and the young mothers are who really need your medical expertise to get a good healthy and this is done through our various medical outreach that is done every year visiting the various vulnerable target groups in the regions of Rwenzori and the neighboring areas that are need medical attention.

Schools Volunteer

We have a fantastic schools presentation, great for assemblies and class workshops.  If you are interested in finding out more or just want to get your pupils, children, friends involved please contact us at myugandanchild@gmail.com
