early pregnancies in kasese

The problem of early pregnancies  among girls in kasese District is on the rise to the extent  that atleast every home with a girl who is in school and out of school  has become pregnant  due to hash economic terms ,lack of parental care among others. This has led to a decrease in the number of school going children especially girls ,however this does not only affect the girls but it has also affected the boys who have also headed families at a young age .

The  young mothers (those who have given birth and are below the age of 18years as the government of Uganda states are considered to be young mothers ) My Ugandan Child visiting many areas with their various projects to try reduce this and how it is  working with various groups of young mothers in various groups that we have created so that we can be able to extend our services towards them. For example we are running a hands on projects where we train the young mothers on how to meet their ends meet since most of them are no longer give the pregnant girl the basic after giving birth because they assume that the husband is now responsible for taking care of the young mother or pregnant girl and in case this help comes, it usually does not take long providing the support to the child and her mother .

This problem is both in urban centres and the rural areas all over the district but what has the community done to put an end to this ,its what everyone is asking . My Ugandan child has  laid strategies guidance and counseling which is currently running in the various schools and communities. To put an end to this in both urban and rural areas of  Kasese District, My Ugandan Child is carrying out partnerships  with various health sectors and centres like Kilembe Mines Hospital for the health technical support and we are currently working with organizations like SAVE THE MOTHERS Uganda Chapter .
